Staffing Update
Recently, our Head of Curriculum, Mrs Carol-Lynne Osborne was successful in gaining a new temporary position as Literacy Coach at Watson Road State School.  I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Carol-Lynne on her success and wish her all the very best in this new role.  I am sure that she will find it rewarding.
As I mentioned earlier in the year, our school has reached the student numbers to give us an entitlement of a Deputy Principal position.  I will advise our new member of the Leadership Team in the next newsletter.
What a fantastic turnout of parents to attend our ANZAC Day service last Monday.  A big thank you goes to Mrs Judith Power for organising this event, and to Terri Butler, Jackie Tradd, Jonathon Sri for attending our ceremony.
Students across the school deserve to be acknowledged for their poise and respect during the service.
Thank you to our Cultural Captains and other student leaders who were integral to the smooth running of the service.

Upcoming Works
This week, I met with DET Facilities to secure an upgrade for our existing tennis courts.  The upgrade will ensure the court is ‘multi-purpose’ with the inclusion of a netball court.  This upgrade will however, mean the closure of this area for approximately 6 weeks while works are carried out.  Christie, the tennis coach, will be in touch with families to discuss suitable alternatives for lessons.
