P&C

The Dutton Park State School Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is an active and important part of school life.

P&C coordinated events bring together our school and the wider community. Events vary and may include: school discos and movie nights, trivia nights, market days, a bi-annual multicultural festival, family fun days, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day stalls, and ‘Tears and Tim Tams’ on the first day of school.

Funds raised are used to purchase items for every classroom as part of our Teachers’ Wish List program, and to provide additional literacy support in the classroom. The P&C also funds additional items including interactive whiteboards, playground equipment, and school excursions.

Dutton Park State School P&C has a number of working groups including: Grants, Gardening, and Facilities. We coordinate Newsletter advertising and provide the Uniform Shop and Parent Hub as a service to our school.

To facilitate communication between our teachers and parents and friendships within our school, we coordinate the Class Register, overseen by our Class Parents.

Our monthly meetings provide a forum for discussion of a variety of issues related to our school. We meet the third Tuesday of each month, from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm, in the school library. All parents and caregivers are invited to attend.
