Our weekly Health and Physical Education (HPE) lessons help students develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding to strengthen their sense of self, and build and manage satisfying, respectful relationships.

Students access, evaluate and synthesise information about an increasingly complex, sedentary and rapidly changing world to take positive action to protect, enhance and advocate for their own and others’ health, wellbeing, safety and physical activity.

The Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education comprises of two interrelated strands:

  • personal, social and community health

  • movement and physical activity.

At Dutton Park State School, students also have a range of extra-curricular sporting opportunities:  https://duttonparkss.eq.edu.au/co-curricular/sports
