Prep is the first year of school and provides the foundation for your child's education.
From 2017, it is compulsory for Queensland children to undertake Prep prior to Year 1.
Children are eligible to attend Prep when they have turned 4 years of age on or before June 30 in the year prior to commencing Prep.

Interviews
- Prep Interviews are conducted in October.
- You will be asked to bring your child for a 20 minute interview, where we will gather information about your child and spend some time doing a few activities.
- This is the beginning of the process of getting to know your child and family.
- After the interview you will be asked to confirm a time and date that you and your child can attend Prep orientation morning.
Orientation
- Our Prep orientation allows you and your child the opportunity
to experience first-hand the wonder of being in a Prep classroom.
- In our
experience this is a vital stage in the transition from Kindy to Prep and we
encourage all future Prep children and their parents to come along.
Placement
- Once all of the Prep enrolments have been finalised the final placement of classes will occur towards the end of the school year.
- The class lists are published and made available on the last day of the school holidays.
