Volunteers are welcome at Dutton Park State School and contribute greatly to the school community. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and the children that your children befriend.
When volunteering at school you will need to sign in at the office and sign out of the office when you leave.
Grandparents and extended family are a great support to children and are also welcome but will need a Blue Card to assist in classrooms.
Throughout the year teachers may ask for volunteers to assist with reading in the classroom, literacy and numeracy groups, coaching sport, providing transport to special events and many other activities. Parents are welcome to help in the classrooms and this can be negotiated directly with the teacher.
The P&C will ask for volunteers to assist with the many projects that they coordinate each year, all of which generate profits to enhance the education of your child. Any amount of help that you are able to offer is greatly appreciated.
