Our school is dedicated to evidence informed practice, ongoing improvement and consultation with staff, students and our community when navigating future challenges and opportunities. Our community links are strong, and this is immediately felt in the way our community members look after and encourage each other every day at school. Our staffing profile reflects a breadth and depth of experience and expertise, and this contributes to quality classroom programs.
We provide an inclusive and engaging curriculum with a strong focus on the core subjects of English, Mathematics and the Arts. We foster student voice and leadership through our Year 6 Senior Leaders and School Council. Each term our student leaders and student council are guided by a broad focus informed by the Australian Curriculum. Focus areas include: Multiculturalism and Diversity; First Nations people and Reconciliation; Inclusion and Belonging; and Environment and Sustainability. Students identify issues/themes that resonate with them and take action through awareness campaigns, speaking to peers at assemblies and organising activities throughout the year.
