Dutton Park State School can welcome your child into a thinking, caring community of learners.
Our school is small enough for students across grades to play together, and large enough to provide opportunities for children to achieve their best.
We are proud of our students’ reputation for good behaviour. Kindness and achieving are celebrated and encouraged via our ‘Six Kinds of Best’ values program.
Philosophy has been integrated into the school curriculum. The program was introduced under the leadership of principal Michelle D’Netto to further develop the thinking skills and confidence of our students.
The teaching staff are dedicated and skilled; positions in the school are highly sought. One hundred percent of students surveyed at the school believe they are receiving a quality education and that their teachers expect them to do their best. Dutton Park students consistently rank well in standardised tests.
Every class room is air conditioned. Our onsite Out of School Hours Care Service offers both before and after school care.
The school has a dedicated set-down and pick-up zone and is adjacent to Park Road Railway and Boggo Road Busway Stations.
Our parent and carer community have a strong commitment to the needs of our children and school, and actively volunteer their time and expertise via the P&C and by volunteering in our classrooms. Parents and staff work together to ensure that Dutton Park State School is a happy, safe and enjoyable environment for students to be able to learn and grow.
You don’t have to live in Dutton Park to join the family - and you don’t have to be at the beginning of your school journey. We do not have an enrolment management plan. This means that children from outside our area can attend and at present we have capacity to welcome students from Prep to Year 6.
